Who was he?
I recently googled the last name of "matchok" and found that "Joseph Jr" died on April 9, 2008. Who was he? April 9 was Ruth's birthday. April 9 is Sharon Matchok Beebe's birthday. We know of the other Joseph, but I wasn't aware of a JR. Died in Hackensack, NJ. No other info re: family was included in the obit.

Well Joseph Matchok was released from prison in 1941, so he could have had a son. Looks like there was a mass said for Joseph Jr at Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack in August (http://www.holytrinitysite.org/bulletin/bu0804_0810_3.html). If a mass was said for him, that means someone had to request that doesn't it? Maybe the church has a birth record or something?

I spoke w/George Matchok, a cousin of Mike's, and he knew Joseph and son. He confirmed that Joseph was in Alcatraz and had some prison correspondance that Joseph Jr allowed him to copy.I've requested copies.
